Ifeanyi Ubah lost his life reportedly due to a cardiac arrest in London. He died on the 27th day of July 2024. The senator was reported to have died in a hotel room. He was said to have travelled to London for the sole aim of attending his daughter’s graduation ceremony.
Before his death, there were reports of his body weight. There were some changes in his physical appearance. Many may have concluded it may be due to his tummy tuck operation carried out to reduce his size.

In 2016, a Federal High Court in Lagos granted an interim refrainment of Ifeanyi Ubah business Capital Oil and Gas Limited on the petition on the adposition of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
This issue started when Justice MB Idris granted an order proceeding where Ifeanyi Ubah was not present. The court restrained Capital Oil and Gas Limited from possessing the assets or funds of the company. The court further went ahead to freeze all the bank accounts about the issue until it was settled.
Moving into politics, Ifeanyi Ubah was not spared any battles. Of course, politics being a game of numbers had Ifeanyi on the downside in his first appearance. In 2014, he lost the gubernatorial election in his first outing.

He was later victorious after contesting for the senatorial position in Anambra State. Due to his good deeds, he was re-elected for a second time in 2023. Later that year, he ditched the party for the All Progressive Party (APC).
