Odyssey was raised in New York. Moreover, he was born in Brooklyn, New York. He participated in football, basketball and wrestling at Longwood High School. Odyssey started attending Syracuse University in 2012.

Odyssey Career Beginnings

Odyssey went to a test for the WWE professional wrestling organization in June 2018. He was hired by WWE in February 2019 and given training assignments at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Odyssey broke Otis’s previous record of 775 lb (352 kg) with an 800 lb (363 kg) trap bar pull in May 2019 at the WWE Performance Center Combine.

 On November 7, 2019, he wrestled for the first time under his real name at a house event in Ocala, Florida, where he was defeated by Dexter Lumis. Before taking a leave of absence for more than a year, he competed in a few matches in late 2019 and early 2020.

From Palmer to Odyssey 

In July 2021, Odyssey made a comeback to the ring as “Odyssey”,. He competed in dark contests during WWE SmackDown. On the WWE 205 Live program that aired on July 6, he won his first match on television by pinning Grayson Waller.

In the opening round of the WWE NXT Breakout Tournament, he defeated Andre Chase on July 20 to win his first-ever WWE NXT bout that was broadcast on television. 

Odyssey Jones defeated Trey Baxter in the semifinals. Later in the tournament, he lost to Carmelo Hayes in the championship game. After that, Jones engaged in feuds with wrestlers like Andre Chase and the Diamond Mine on NXT for the remainder of the year. During a match with Saurav Gurjar in January 2022, Odyssey tore his patellar tendon. However, he had surgery later that month.

After his return, Jones invited Edris Enofé and Malik Blade to a party on October 25, 2022. He returned to the ring the following week. Thankfully, he won over Javier Bernal. Jones was selected by the Raw brand in the 2023 WWE Draft. He competed in the Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad, India in September 2023. Odyssey was defeated by Bron Breakker in the competition.

Jones was selected to the Raw brand in the 2024 WWE Draft. He made his debut in August 2024 and launched an initiative with The New Day. However, Jones was unexpectedly sacked by WWE and taken from WWE television in September 2024. This was because of rising news suggesting that he committed domestic abuse.
